Keep the same customer or project reference, site and asset or zone ID with the source records. Include capture dates, methods, units, coordinate system if known, coverage gaps and permission to share. Usability depends on data quality, age, resolution, coverage and the decision you need to make; review and any new capture are confirmed before work begins.
